ITEC Certificate in Holistic Massage

The ITEC Level 3 in Holistic Massage comprises of the following units:

  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Professional Conduct and  Business Awareness
  • Holistic Massage Theory and Practical

The main aim of the International Therapy Examination Council - ITEC (England) Level 3 Holistic Massage is to enable candidates to skillfully learn treatments for the purposes of relaxation and stress release.

In the Anatomy and Physiology unit, the candidate will study the human body systems and diseases. The Professional Conduct and Business Awareness module will cover the practitioner's code of conduct and ethics, as well as the business acumen necessary to suit a professional career. The candidate will also study the theory of all treatments as well as their practical application in Holistic Massage.

Successful completion of this award is determined by case studies carried out by the candidate (5 clients x 4 sessions each) amounting to 20 hours. After care and detailed rationales for the type of massage treatment chosen and outcomes must be shown. Candidates are also examined by a practical exam and a multiple choice paper.

This award qualifies the graduates to operate their own clinic or home visits. Graduates can also gain employment in Salons, Spas, Cruise Liners, NHS trust and various aspects of the Healthcare industry.

Minimum of 8 students required for course commencement.

Diploma in Holistic Massage consists of Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology, Professional Conduct & Business Awareness and Holistic Massage (Theory & Practical). Student can complete each of these modules simultaneously.
