The IFPA Level 4/5 Holistic Aromatherapy comprises of the following units:
A non-massage Holistic Aromatherapy award is also offered.
The main aim of the IFPA (International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists – UK) is to enable candidates to provide Holistic treatments for the purpose of stress release. It uses therapeutic massage with essential oils for relaxation, with student learning various methods of application and blending techniques.
Holistic Aromatherapy includes the study of 60 essential oils, 11 base oils and five herb oils, along with the contraindications and safety data for each oil. It also covers the underpinning knowledge and skills required to successfully perform an Aromatherapy treatment.
In the Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology unit, the candidate will study the human body systems and diseases. The Professional Conduct and Business awareness module will cover the practitioner’s code of conduct and ethics, as well as the business acumen necessary to suit a professional career. The candidate will also study the theory of all treatments as well as their practical application in Therapeutic Massage.
This award qualifies graduates to operate their own clinic and home visits. Graduates can also gain employment in salons, spas, cruise liners, NHS trust and various aspect of Healthcare industry.

Total Hours: 822 hours, (In - House Study - 312 hours; Home Study - 510 hours)
Minimum of 8 students required for course commencement.
