ITEC Certificate in Aromatherapy

The ITEC Level 3 Certificate in Aromatherapy comprises of ITEC Aromatherapy Unit, Anatomy & Physiology and Professional Conduct & Business Awareness The qualification has 3 methods of assessment – theory, practical and case studies.

The main aim of the ITEC Level 3 Certificate in Aromatherapy is to enable candidates to provide safe treatments for the purposes of relaxation and stress release with massage and essential oils.

The candidate will study the theory of aromatherapy treatments as well as the chemistry of 44 essential oils & 12 Carrier oils, contraindications and safety data for each oil, and will also cover the underpinning knowledge and skills required to successfully perform an aromatherapy massage treatment.

Case studies (10 clients x 4 sessions each) are also required to be completed for this award.

This award qualifies graduates to operate their own clinic or home visiting practice. Graduates can also gain employment in salons, health clubs, spas and liners, and various aspects of the Care industry

Diploma in Aromatherapy consists of Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology, Professional Conduct & Business Awareness and Aromatherapy (Theory & Practical). Student can complete each of these modules simultaneously.
