Anita Moorjani- Coming to Dubai 2012
New York Times best-selling Author of Dying To be ME will be coming to Dubai to offer some of her powerful workshops and meditations in December 2012. Her remarkable near death experience (NDE) and subsequent healing is one of the most amazing ever recorded. Doctors had given her just hours to live when she arrived at the hospital in a coma on the morning of February 2nd 2006. Unable to move and in a deep coma as a result of the cancer that had ravaged her body for almost 4 years.
Anita entered another dimension where she experienced great clarity and understanding of her life and purpose here on earth and was given a choice of whether to return to life or not. Anita chose to return to life when she realized that “heaven” is a state and not a place. This subsequently resulted in a remarkable and complete recovery of health within days of her return.
Dr. Wayne Dyer discovered Anita’s story through a series of synchronicities and was so moved by her experience that he asked the renowned publishing firm Hay House to track
her down in her hometown in Hong Kong and encouraged her to write her book.
Anita’s riveting workshops and meditations will inspire you to transform your life by living more authentically, discovering your greatest passion, transcending your greatest fears and living from a place of pure joy.
She has shared her story and has been speaking to sellout crowds all over the world. We are so fortunate to have her come to Dubai.
The Near Death Experience Research Foundation, an organization based in the USA that have archived thousands of NDEs from all over the world, have classified Anita’s experience as “one of the most remarkable that we have ever seen”, and have linked her experience on their home page. She has recently been approached by Discovery Channel who are planning to make a documentary on her experience.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjLouLHH-_I
The National Geographic has filmed a documentary about her life already.
The full story of Anita’s near death experience can be read on www.anitamoorjani.com.

It is essential for therapists to have a sound understanding of anatomy and physiology, as they will be working in direct contact with the body structures. It is also vital that they have a comprehensive knowledge of diseases and disorders of the human body so that they are aware of when and when not to treat a client, and only operate within certain parameters.
The qualification is suitable for:
Each unit requires candidates to understand the structure, function and main diseases and disorders of each system.

WHAT IS YOGA
The word yoga means union. Yoga is an ancient philosophy and practice that teaches the mind and body to unite and work in harmony to create a more balanced and responsive individual.
A unique element of this program is that each pose becomes a springboard for integrated learning activities that explore academic subjects such as anatomy, earth sciences, math, language, music, and art in innovative, playful ways. In this class, traditional, “grown-up” yoga poses become age-appropriate poses and activities, frequently incorporating sounds and movement, and stimulating creative expression.
WHAT WOULD MY CHILD GAIN OUT OF THIS ACTIVITY
HOW DO YOGA AND SCHOOL FIT TOGETHER
Children learn best when stress is low, self-esteem is high, and the environment is motivating and nurturing. The philosophy of this program is to de-emphasize perfection, rigidity, and competition. While practicing / performing yoga pose, the goal is not to attain the perfect form, or compare oneself with others, but to be aware of the feel of the pose in the moment, and to use the pose as a springboard to learning without tension or expectations. Studies have proven, those children who are more relaxed and have fun whilst learning tend to have higher success rates in school.
The tool of this program for Schools uses the benefits of yoga and movement to maximize the learning process:
WHAT IS THE CONTENT OF THIS ACTIVITY
ISN'T YOGA A RELIGION?
No, yoga is not a religion.
Though no one knows exactly when yoga began, it certainly predates written history. Stone carvings of human figures in yoga positions found in the Indus Valley date back 3500 years or more - well before the beginnings of Hinduism. This fact alone puts to rest the common misconception that yoga is rooted in that religion! But to avoid any confusion, we do not use any Sanskrit or religious terminology, imagery or concepts.
Since Hinduism's incorporates some yogic practices into its religious structures, many secular and nonsecular organizations have followed suit. Today, yoga is practiced in health clubs, businesses, churches, physical therapy offices, hospitals and schools over the world.
Jin Shin Jyutsu with Carlyse Smith
ARABIC Translation will be presented by Samar Ajami
5 Day Basic Course
8th to 12thNovember 2013
The name Jin Shin Jyutsu means ‘The Art of the Creator through the person of compassion’. The healing art that these words represent is based upon our own natural innate ability to harmonize ourselves. For thousands of years ancient people used this awareness to heal both themselves and others. But with successive generations this awareness grew dimmer, until it was all forgotten. In the early part of the 20thcentry a Japanese sage named ‘Jiro Murai’ re-discovered Jin Shin Jyutsu and passed his teaching onto ‘Mary Burmeister’ who took this even further.
Part 1 (Fri—Sun) - The foundation which introduces the dynamic qualities of the 26 “Safety Energy Locks”, the Trinity Flow, the concept of depths, the Physio—Philosophy of Jin Shin Jyutsu.
Part 2 (Mon—Tue) - Introduces the 12 organ flows, listening to the pulses, the Special Body Flows and how they can contribute to harmonizing body, mind and spirit.

Basic Swedish Massage with Sunita Teckchand
Hippocrates (460-380 B.C.), who received an honor as "the father of medical study", stated that "a physician needs to specialize in several things but being an expert in massage is a must.”
The term "Swedish Massage" refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. It was developed in the 1700's by a Swedish doctor named Per Henrik Ling.
The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load. It stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable. Swedish massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves themselves at the same time. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management. It also has many specific medical uses.
Swedish massage techniques include, long strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, percussion, vibration, effleurage, and shaking motions. The usually sequence of techniques are:
BEGINNERS LEVEL (3rdJuly 2013 from 9:00am to 1:00pm)
In this 4 hour class you will learn the basic palpatory skills on each other as a practice class. These are the following techniques you will learn in the Beginners course:
Once these skills are mastered, one can move on to the 2nd Level which is the Intermediate class, to further understand on how to put it together and form a sequence.
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL (31stAugust 2013 from 9:00am to 1:00pm)
In this class, which is the continuation of the Beginners level the student will cover the following techniques:
Commencing with Effleurage movement on the back of the legs of the model
ADVANCED LEVEL (14thSeptember 2013 from 9:00am to 1:00pm)
In this class we begin with the front of the legs with the strokes learnt in the Intermediate class.
Upon completion of the front of the body skills, the last part of the class will be to perform the full sequence from beginning to end. These skills will be evaluated and upon successful completion a ‘Certificate of Attendance’ for all 3 levels will be issued.Hand-outs of the sequence and details of the benefits of Swedish massage will be given to ALL participants. The cost of each level is AED 600.00. But if the student decides to take all three levels and enroll 2 weeks prior to the start of the class, he/she will only pay AED 1,500.00 for all three levels. Kindly take note as well that a student cannot join Intermediate or Advanced Level without completing the Beginners Level first.
This class must have a minimum of 4 participants for it to run at the dates mentioned.
Basic Holistic Reflexology with Sunita Teckchand
Dr. William Fitzgerald is the person who identified longitudinal zone lines of energy in the body through which responses to stimuli could be evoked. Reflexology recognizes that there are correspondences between points on the feet and hands and in the organs, system, and structures in the body as a whole.
Reflexology is a form of natural, holistic therapy based on the discovery that there are points on the feet and hands which correspond to organs, systems and structures within the entire body. This corresponding relationship is called a 'reflex'. A reflex is when stimulation at one point brings about a response in another point or area.
Reflexology uses special pressure techniques to stimulate the points on the feet and hands to effectively treat the imbalances in the tissues, organs and systems of the body and also restore well-being. It induces a state of deep relaxation and since it has been estimated that about 75% of disease is stress related, this is a major contribution to the return of health. As treatments continue over time this state of relaxation becomes deeper and more established.
BEGINNERS LEVEL (27thJuly 2013 from 10:00am to 2:00pm)
In this class students will:
All hand-outs, foot charts and full feet chart with the organs will be given to each student to study and understand the location of each organ and system
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL (31stAugust 2013 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm)
In this second part of the program students will continue to learn and understand the reflexes of the remaining organs and systems of the body and its location on the feet.
All hand-outs, foot charts and full feet chart would have been provided in the beginner’s class; students must try and remember the locations of each organ and system on the feet
ADVANCED LEVEL (14thSeptember 2013 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm)
In this class, students would have already studied all the organs and systems located on the feet.
All hand-outs, foot charts and full feet chart would have been provided in the beginners’ class; students must memorize the sequence and know the locations of each organ and system on the feet. The students must complete all 3 levels to receive a ‘Certificate of Attendance’. Kindly note that participants who did not complete the Beginners Level cannot join the Intermediate or Advanced Levels. The cost of each level is AED 600.00. But if the student decides to take all three levels and enroll 2 weeks prior to the start of the class, he/she will only pay AED 1,500.00 for all three levels.
This class must have a minimum of 4 participants for it to run at the dates mentioned.
JIN SHIN JYUTSU SELF-HELP with Sunita Teckchand
Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient Japanese practice that balances the body’s energy, by using the fingers and hands to eliminate stress, create emotional equilibrium, relieve pain and alleviate chronic and acute conditions.
Jin Shin Jyutsuhelps us remember that every one of us possess the simplest instruments needed to bring about harmonious balance – the breath and hands. It reminds us that these instruments are all that we need to enhance our physical and mental vitality which in turn help eliminate the causes of underlying diseases or disharmony. Most importantly it reawakens our awareness of the Life Energy that permeates the universe. This renewed awareness enables us to send life-giving energy through various locations on the body.
The name Jin Shin Jyutsu, means ‘The Art of the Creator through the person of compassion’. The healing art that these words represent is based upon our own natural innate ability to harmonize ourselves. For thousands of years ancient people used this awareness to heal both themselves and others. But with successive generations this awareness grew dimmer, until it was all forgotten. In the early part of the twentieth century a Japanese sage named Jiro Murai rediscovered Jin Shin Jyutsu.
He passed on all his knowledge and teachings to Mary Burmeister. Mary took the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu back to America after studying with Jiro Murai for 12 years. She fulfilled his dreams and hopes to pass on this wonderful art to people who can benefit from this simple technique. Mary has practiced Jin Shin Jyutsu from 1963 and has been the world’s foremost teacher of this art.
2 Day Self Help Jin Shin Jyutsu Class:
In this 2 day class you will learn:
Course Fee: AED1800.00 for 2 days (16 hours) including 3 self-help books.

EAR CONING:The Ancient Healing Process with Sunita Teckchand
Ear coning is a simple but effective remedy for removing impacted earwax and clearing accumulated debris from the nerve endings. It involves the use of a hollow spiraled cone made from natural unbleached cotton and 100% beeswax and herb oils. Coning may pull out excess wax, fungus, candida/yeast, ear mites, parasites and sinus material. It has again become a popular alternative to medical intervention and is NOT meant to replace professional health care.
What are the benefits of Ear Coning?
Ear Coning is a soothing painless and non-invasive procedure and at no time does anything enter the ear. Most people enjoy the hands on nurturing process as deep relaxation is induced. It acts as a catalyst to clear out debris accumulated on nerve endings. This allows for clear vibrational flow to the corresponding area of the mind body and spirit.
Coning is much more than cleansing the ear. It is an intuitive art embracing whole body energy healing. Coning works to bring about subtle and immediate balance in health and attitude.

Laughter Yoga with Jo-Dee Walmsley
Laughter yoga is a unique exercise routine, which combines unconditional laughter with yogic breathing (PRANAYAMA). Dr. Kataria, an Indian physician and popularly known as the ‘Guru of Giggling’ (The Times, UK), founded the first laughter club with his wife Madhuri. It all began in a park in Mumbai on 13th March 1995 with just 5 people. Today, this revolutionary exercise routine has become a global phenomenon with over 6000 Laughter clubs around the World.
Laughter Yoga’s principle is that, anyone can laugh without relying on humour, jokes or comedy. What makes it appealing to everyone is its universality – anyone can laugh without any reason. “Laughter is a choice,” Dr. Kataria said to a group of trainees. “A connector of people. No barriers. No language.” Kataria says that laughter yoga “is based upon the scientific fact that, even if you laugh for the sake of laughing, even if you are pretending laughing, your body cannot tell the difference.”
It is initially simulated as a physical exercise while maintaining eye contact with others in the group and promoting childlike playfulness. In most cases this soon leads to real and contagious laughter. Scientifically proven Clinical research on Laughter Yoga methods conducted at the University of Graz in Austria, Bangalore and in the United States, has shown that laughter lowers the level of stress hormones (epinephrine and cortisol) in the blood. It posters a positive attitude so you are less likely to succumb to stress, depression and helplessness if one is able to laugh away the troubles.
